Invest Collegiate Imagine is a K-12 charter school located in Asheville, NC. This B-rated school uses a holistic approach and adapts lessons from Stephen Covey’s book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, to encourage the development of leadership skills in its students. The 55-acre campus allows for on-site student participation in outdoor activities, such as cross-country and mountain biking, and the 116,000 square-foot academic building holds state-of-the-art classrooms, a gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria, plus foreign language, arts, and music rooms.
Legacy Funding Services stepped in to help this already successful school build a campus that would better serve its scholars. The Legacy Team provided efficient funding access to the capital markets through a $26 million bond transaction at a very competitive cost of capital—to purchase land and to build its new campus. The Legacy Team also provided value engineering and development oversight for the project.
